Trivela FC started as a basic football-maths game built in Excel for my son so I could get out of homework duty. He kept asking to play it. His friends played it. My brother — a teacher — said "you've got to build it properly."

I've spent my career using maths to build predictive sports models and design football games. For the last six months the most useful feedback has come from primary-school kids.
